Steps
- 1.In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, eggs, flour, Panko bread crumbs, salt, thyme, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- 2.Mix well using your hands or a wooden spoon until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 3.Using an ice cream scoop or your hands, shape the mixture into 24 equal-sized meatballs.
- 4.Place them on a plate or tray lined with parchment paper.
- 5.Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
- 6.Add the meatballs and cook them for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through.
- 7.Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.
- 8.In the same skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- 9.Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 10.Stir in the crushed tomatoes, sugar, salt, pepper, and optional herbs (oregano, basil, and thyme).
- 11.Bring the sauce to a simmer, then reduce the heat and let it cook for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 12.Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce, stirring gently to coat them evenly.
- 13.Let the meatballs simmer in the sauce for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- 14.While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- 15.Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
- 16.Drain the spaghetti and set aside.
- 17.Serve the spaghetti topped with the meatballs and sauce.
- 18.Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and enjoy!
